Unreached people and places are those where there is little-to-no access to the Gospel, and the local Church—if there is one—is unable to make a difference without outside help. Approximately 40% of the world’s population is unreached. Practically speaking, that means over 3 billion people will be born, live, die, and go to hell without ever hearing about who Jesus is and what He has done to provide forgiveness and eternal life.

Many of these same people suffer in unimaginable ways, such as repressive governments, persecution, extreme poverty, war, or the threat of human trafficking. These conditions, including geographic isolation, create barriers to the spread of the Gospel.
